Effingham-Teutopolis Christmas Classic
The Effingham-Teutopolis Christmas Classic is a High School holiday basketball tournament held annually for two days following Christmas.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Christmas Classic Shows Promise )〕 Consisting of teams from the Chicago area, Central Illinois, and Southern Illinois, the tournament games are played at venues in both Teutopolis and Effingham.
== History ==
The first inaugural tournament took place on December 27 and 28, 2013. Teutopolis and Effingham squared off in the tournament championship which ended with a 52-37 Teutopolis victory.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Shoes patiently wait for big finale )〕
In the second year of the tournament, two additional Chicago area teams, Oak Lawn and Chicago Brooks, were added to the field of participants.
